Officials at Shangri-La II Motorspeedway have published their very ambitious schedule of events for the 2012 racing season. There are sixteen racing events on the schedule including three Race of Champions Modified Tour dates.

The ASA member track, located in Tioga Center, NY will open their gates on Saturday May 12th with a scheduled practice session beginning at 2:00pm. The first on - track event is scheduled for the following day as the speedway presents "Mothers Day Madness" which will feature the first of SIX modified events for 2012. The Modifieds will be joined on the card by the Sportsman and Street Stocks. Making their debut on opening day will be the new 4 Cylinder Stocks and 4 Cylinder Junior Stocks and the EST Trucks. The first of three Race of Champions Modified events will take the green flag on Sunday May 20th. The other race dates for the RoC Modifieds are Sunday July 29th and Sunday September 23rd. The remaining two Modified events will be run on Saturday nights June 23rd and August 25th. The ASA Late Models make their season debut on Saturday May 26 as they headline "Memorial Day Madness". There are ten ASA Late Model events on the schedule this season. Must See Racing will bring their Xtreme Sprint Car series to the high banked concrete oval for the first time in 2012. The winged 410 pavement sprinters will see action in the only mid-week show of the season on Thursday July 5th. They will be joined on the card by the Vintage Modifieds, Sportsman and Street Stocks. As in years past, the speedway will be dark on July 21 for the Race of Champions in Oswego, NY. The fourth annual Fall Brawl is a two day non-points event scheduled to bring to a close the 2012 season on September 22nd and 23rd.

"We're ready to go racing" stated track manager, Amy Stilson. "We have put a lot of thought into this year's schedule and we still have some things in the works which can be added as needed". Returning this year will be the "Wrist Band Return" program. This program is where fans can bring back their wristband from the previous week's event and receive $ 2.00 off the already low price of $ 10.00 for a regular show. Also, just like last year, kids ages 15 yrs and younger are admitted free to the grandstand area at Shangri-La II. Sponsorships are available for The Kids Club and for race nights at the speedway.
